Regulatory Lookup, 5 Jurisdictions

REACH / TSCA cross-jurisdiction checker

Look up regulatory listing status for the most-traded industrial chemicals across EU REACH, US TSCA, China IECSC, Korea K-REACH, and Australia AICIS in one search.

96 substances indexed. Type a CAS, name, or formula to begin.

A worked example

The booking. You line up a new specialty chemical to import into the EU, the price works, and you book the first container on the supplier's assurance that it is "REACH compliant".

The failure. It is on the SVHC Candidate List. "REACH compliant" meant registered, not unrestricted, and the substance carries an Annex XIV authorisation requirement the supplier never mentioned. Your import needs an authorisation you do not hold, and the cargo is stuck at the EU border while you discover the obligation you should have checked before booking.

The fix. Run the CAS through the checker first. A restricted flag against REACH tells you to pull the SVHC and Annex XIV detail before committing, so you learn about the sunset date and the authorisation requirement at the qualification call, not at the border. Book only once the status is clear.

For the full SVHC entry and Annex XIV sunset date, the Pro lookup is at /tools/compliance-and-risk/eu-reach-svhc-annex-xiv-lookup. For the same CAS across TSCA, AICIS, IECSC, and K-REACH, the cross-jurisdiction matrix is at /regulatory.

How to read the results

  • Listed, the substance appears on the regime's primary inventory or has a current registration. Routine import documentation applies.
  • Restricted, the substance carries restrictions (Annex XIV/XVII for REACH, SNUR or Section 6 for TSCA, export licence in China, etc.). The restriction note explains the specific scope.
  • PMN-required, the substance is not on the regime's inventory and a pre-import filing is required. For TSCA this is a Section 5 PMN; for K-REACH a registration; for AICIS an assessed introduction.
  • Unknown, status not verified from a primary source for this entry. Verify with the regulator's portal directly.
