Quanzhou Petrochemical Park is the dominant petrochemical-and-polyester base on the southeast Chinese coast. Hengli's 6.6 Mt/yr PTA mega-plant here is one of the world's largest single-site PTA capacities; the park supplies a significant share of the global PTA-to-polyester chain that feeds Vietnamese, Bangladeshi, and Indian textile manufacturing. Meizhou Bay's deep-water port (300,000 DWT) handles VLCC crude imports and outbound chemical-tanker parcels equally; the park is structured around port-adjacent integrated complexes with pipeline connections. The geographic advantage is proximity to Southeast Asian export markets ; Quanzhou-to-Vietnam transit is sub-week, and the ACFTA preferential treatment makes the lane structurally competitive vs other Chinese supply origins.
