Know what the park makes, who runs the lines, and how the cargo gets to the port.

Weifang Binhai is the global capital of sea-water bromine extraction, anchored by Shandong Haihua Group, the largest soda ash plus sea-water bromine producer in China. The integrated chain runs from solar-salt evaporation pond brine through bittern (the magnesium-and-bromine-rich residual brine after NaCl crystallisation) extraction to bromine (Br2), then to bromide salts (NaBr at HS 282751, KBr, CaBr2, ZnBr2 for oilfield drilling brine), brominated organic flame retardants (DecaBDE, TBBPA), and methyl bromide (the soil fumigant, declining due to Montreal Protocol restrictions). Shandong Haihua's soda-ash production is the secondary commercial chain, leveraging the same Yellow Sea solar-salt feedstock for Solvay-process Na2CO3 (HS 283620). Two operator-distinct points. First, the seasonal nature of solar-salt evaporation (brine concentration cycles with summer and winter weather) creates predictable annual price patterns for Weifang-sourced bromine and bromide chemistry; spring-summer is the high-output season. Second, the Bohai Bay environmental regime puts pressure on legacy chlor-alkali plants but largely spares the salt-chemistry operations because they are non-emission-intensive.
